Pin and Bush Couplings

R+W Pin and Bush Coupling – Series RC1

HIGH TORQUE WITH VIBRATION DAMPING: PIN AND BUSH COUPLINGS FROM R+W

The RC1 pin and bush coupling from R+W combines high torque transmission with a compact, robust design. Steel hubs and elastic NBR elements provide a flexible connection between drive and driven shafts, damping oscillation and vibration while accommodating axial, radial and angular misalignment.

Torque is transmitted through pins acting against the elastic bushes. The bushes deform under load, giving the coupling its vibration-damping characteristics and allowing the small movements associated with shaft misalignment. This makes the RC1 an option for industrial drives where smooth running and a degree of torsional flexibility are important.

Six standard sizes cover rated torques from 500 to 15,000 Nm. Axial plug-in assembly helps simplify installation, and customer-specific modifications and special materials can be considered where the application requires them. Our technical team can help you review torque, speed, shaft dimensions, duty and operating conditions to identify a suitable size and configuration.
