Founded in 1949 by Siegfried F. Tandler in Bremen, Germany, TANDLER has grown into a world-renowned manufacturer of high-precision gears and gearboxes. Operating from a modern, fully integrated facility, the company employs over 200 highly skilled staff and continues to set the benchmark for excellence in power transmission.

From producing spiral bevel gears for Borgward cars in the early days, TANDLER has continually driven innovation in gearbox design and gear manufacturing. The ServoFoxx® modular gearbox range and the proprietary Tan-Ox® heat treatment process are just two examples of this forward-thinking approach.

In-House Capability

TANDLER maintains complete control over its production, with all key processes—design, milling, gear cutting, grinding, hardening, inspection and assembly—carried out in-house. The company’s heat treatment division processes up to 65 tonnes of material weekly across a variety of hardening techniques, ensuring consistent quality, traceability and performance.

Whether it’s a one-off prototype or a medium-volume production run, every component is manufactured in Bremen to exacting standards and tight tolerances. This attention to detail is what makes TANDLER a trusted partner for precision applications worldwide.

TANDLER Racing Drives

Alongside industrial applications, TANDLER supports the historic and motorsport sectors through TANDLER Racing Drives. The company manufactures crown wheel and pinion sets, gearbox internals and oil-pump gears, and other custom transmission parts for marques such as Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Ferrari, Bentley and Maserati amongst others. Many of these parts are reverse-engineered from customer samples and often outperform the original in material strength, hardness and longevity.

TANDLER Precision Limited – UK Expertise Since 1989

TANDLER Precision was founded in 1989 by Managing Director, Roger Jarvis to bring TANDLER’s precision gear and gearbox solutions to the UK. Based in Northampton, the company takes an application-led approach, offering technical advice and product support to ensure optimal performance across a wide range of industries.

Initially focused on print, converting and packaging sectors, TANDLER Precision now works across a variety of demanding markets, including:

Since 1998, TANDLER Precision has partnered with R+W Antriebselemente to offer a complete range of couplings, torque limiters and line shafts to the UK market. R+W’s advanced product range supports everything from ultra-low torque applications to high-load industrial machinery, with torque ratings from less than 1 Nm to over 2,000,000 Nm.
